丹尼斯·贝里 actor: 安娜·卡里娜 / 丹尼斯·贝里 …
other title: Anna Karina - Souviens-toi
The legendary actress of the Nouvelle Vague, Anna Karina, is closely related to the revival of French cinema in the 1960s. Dennis Berry, the actress's current husband, tells the story of her life, especially focusing on her memories of Jean-Luc Godard and the great directors she knew, as well as looking at her memorable meeting with Serge Gainsbourg and more recently her career as a singer. In a cinema hall with red chairs, the grande dame comments on her journey through cinema and music. The film not only portrays the icon of the French New Wave through the decades, but is also a love letter to the one with whom the director of this documentary has shared his life for more than 30 years.

a surreal masterpiece! Very few movies are as good as the book that inspired them. This one might be somewhat different from the idea I had from the book -the color whiter, the image flatter, but it remains a sort of cinematographic UFO which leaves a long lasting imprint of the memory -after all, this long-lasting imprint is what the film is all about. It looks like a low budget science fiction movie, while its the ultimate movie about love (like the book was the ultimate book about love). Haunting. A plus of the film is fascinating discourse of Morel, in surgical, clipped Italian sentences which make you rush to learn Italian. A unique film.
