The Story revolves around Johnny (Murali) and Annie (Madhavi), a married couple.Johnny is a recurrent alcoholic. After an altercation between Johnny and Keshavan (N F Varghese), who is humiliated in front of his family decides to take revenge and hurts one of their kid.During required blood transfusion it is discovered that Annie's is suffering from a late stage of Leukemia and that she only has a couple of months to live. Annie fearing her kids well being gives then up for better future through adoption.

Roshagadu is an suspense thriller based movie in which, Chiru played the role of CID informer and Thyagaraju and Prabhakar are two gangleaders and CID officer Neelima(Madhavi) is assigned to burst their underworld.Neelima uses Sikander (Chiru), who works for them, as her informer, but before sikander manages to gather enough evidences, Prabhakar comes to know about his reality and kills him. Now, Neelima is left without any support in her mission.Oneday, she spots a Sikander look a like (chiru again) and persuades him to act like sikander, During this process, they fall in love with each other. In the end, sikander manages to liquidate all secret activities of thyagu and bhayankar and helps neelima in completing her mission.

Inspectors Amar (Dharmendra) and Dayal (Raza Murad) in their attempt to arrest bandit Sher Singh (Amrish Puri),, get injured, Amar survives, but Dayal gets his legs crushed and becomes wheelchair-bound. Later, Amar arrests local politician Jagannath Prasad (Kader Khan), who gets released without being charged while Amar gets reprimanded, and decides to resign. Later, Sher Singh hijacks a bus and holds the passengers as hostages in exchange for 25 of his jailed associates. Dayal's granddaughter, Seema (Mandakini), is amongst them, and Dayal asks Amar for assistance. Amar, along with ex-convict, Qasim Ali (Shatrughan Sinha), and Karan (Karan Kapoor), a drug-dealer, does manage to rescue them but differences crop up among the trio and they part ways. Then Amar finds out that Qasim and Karan have masterminded a plan to facilitate the escape of the 25 convicts, and decides to confront them.
