这是一部叙事清晰、情感传递精准、让人很容易产生同感的作品，舞台上一群人的情感纠葛，会让观众全然忘我地度过四个小时。
俄国代表作家屠格涅夫的名著《父与子》，揭示了贵族阶级中父辈与子辈之间观念上的冲突。与屠格涅夫的切入角度相同，导演Daniela Löffner在执导过程中，并没有刻意宣扬某种观念，而是以冷静理智的观察者身份，让舞台上充满对人性的体察，不做道德判断，而是让人物之间的冲突顺其自然地展开，让每个角色的性格轮廓高度鲜明。她成功地将屠格涅夫对后继者契诃夫的影响体现出来，在微妙的冷幽默与不动声色的悲伤之间达成了平衡。
