故事梗概如下：
小王子被女王母亲冷落，渴望母爱的王子不能承受王室生活的压力，他幻想中看到一只天鹅，他强健美丽而又自由自在，天鹅身上拥有王子所渴望的一切。王子长大后仍然不讨母亲喜欢。某个晚上，隐藏身份的王子在酒吧里和人发生冲突，被赶出了酒吧。沮丧的王子在公园里撞上一群天鹅，其中一只和王子梦幻中的天鹅一模一样。王子爱上了天鹅，心里洋溢着希望。在宫廷舞会上，一位英俊的黑衣青年不速而来，他与王子在公园里相遇的天鹅非常神似，但黑衣人潇洒而傲慢，和所有在场的女士调情，并赢得了女王的欢心，他还模拟天鹅的舞姿来挑逗王子，使其大出洋相。当大臣宣布黑衣人同女王订婚的消息时，王子的精神彻底崩溃。奄奄一息的王子躺在卧室里，天鹅们突然出现，将王子带进了一个美好平静的世界。女王进来时，发现儿子已经死去，而此时在窗外，天鹅怀抱着少年王子挺立在星空下，王子的灵魂终于在爱人的怀抱里找到了归宿。

Collecting over 30 international theatre awards including three Tonys, Swan Lake has been acclaimed as a landmark achievement on the international stage. It has become the longest running ballet in the West End and on Broadway and enjoyed four hugely successful tours in the UK and thrilled audiences all over the world.
