Halloween Kills - Review

I just watched Kills last night and feel like the dismal reviews I've heard from everyone over the last year actually lowered my expectations enough to basically enjoy it? But as it is, it's like David Gordon Green and Danny McBride can't decide whether this is a movie about generational trauma, institutional failure, and the cycle of violence, or if it's just a bunch of Scary Movie-level skits with random groups of characters getting MDK'ed. I didn't mind the comic relief in the previous one, but boy oh boy did it wear thin here.
