Forever is a long time

Haven't been able to write anything for years, but now I feel like it's time to do one.
There're 2 couples in the movie, and I see myself in both.
"Forever is a long time", when the line came out, I got stuck. It reminds me of something I've not been able to forget yet. I can still remember how I was lying on his body and telling "I wish we could tangle like this forever", but only got "Don't say forever, forever is a long time" as reply. That's the passion once opened my eyes to see the life in a whole new light, and that's the passion faded away unavoidably in the blink of an eye. When Oscar said "Do I look like a father", his voice came to my head: "Do I look like a boyfriend material?" So honest but so cruel. They're so alike, this man and Oscar, or should I say every man is the same inside?
Polanski is such a freak, he's never been affraid to tell the truth of the relationship between men and women in a bold sexual way. Greedy, when it comes to relationship, we're all inevitably getting greedy. Oscar can never get enough with one woman, he wants the whole forest of women out there. Mimi cannot bear losing him, she wants every bit of him. Men're greedy of sex, sex with one woman is bearly enough. Women're greedy of love, the only one true love could be larger than life. Men and women are so different creatures. An ultimate man plus an ultimate woman forms a ultimate tragedy nobody can help.
They love, until they cannot afford it any more, so they fill it with hatred, 'cause that's the only thing that could still tie them together. Romantic love never lasts, perhaps it's better to never let it happen, 'cause then it could only last as a dream, sweet sweet dream. It's dying the moment it starts. Once it vanishes you have to renew it in a dramatic way. Tangled, till death, maybe that's the only way to get to forever.
As a contrast, the English couple seen to be much more decent and delicate, but the trouble within is no different. 7 years of marriage's eaten probably any passion between them. A trip to India's not likely to be the cure of a dying marrige. Maybe sometimes you just have to go that far to see life in a different perspective. Mimi's a fantasy, she releases the desire he hides deep inside. He's such a hypocritic, but ain't he more like everybody else in the world? We’re all hypocritic most of the times because we're just ordinary people living in a hypocritic society. In the end they're probably gonna have a baby together, is that the only way to keep a marriage? But what about the lust we put deep down inside? Wouldn't it come back again one day and bring us all down? What is marriage? What is love? When to stay and when to leave?
Love doesn't come with eternity.
Only death brings eternity.
While time kills love, death freezes love.
So either give up to reality to live rationally like a normal person, or take the courage to die passionately like a romantic nut.
But, what if I'm acting like the former but longing for the latter?
Well, I'm such a hypocritic, no denying.
So, tell me love, what's the distance between honeymoon and bittermoon?
