Yo, turns out all the hate isn’t just because of Milly Alcock’s comments or the right-wing’s anger at James Gunn. The movie is actually Kryptonian dog crap!

I was fully expecting and prepared to come out here and defend this. I thought the trailers looked great. The prospect of Kara being this perpetually drunk party girl who flies around the galaxy getting up to no good with the unruly pup Krypto? Yeah, I was sold. Unfortunately, next to nothing in this movie works.

Lame plot. Boring, forgettable villain. Mediocre action. Humor that very rarely lands. A whole lot of nothing happens and everyone involved should feel embarrassed over how bad these special effects look. The worse offender though is undoubtedly the dialogue. Nobody talks like this. Nobody who doesn’t get punched every time they open their mouths that is.

The whole thing wants to be Guardians of the Galaxy so desperately that it lacks a distinctive identity of its own. Also, I hope and pray I am never subjected to anything as awful as Eve Ridley’s character ever again. Thus far this second DC cinematic universe isn’t any better than the first. I’m extremely disappointed. Don’t watch this.

Oh, that Lobo guy is kind of a dork, huh? Worst needle drop in film history guys??
