a review of 捉虫杀人事件

I ended up kind of liking this one, in spite of having to tap out 30 minutes in on my first attempt the other day. I'd say that maybe only 60% of it actually works, but I was impressed with what Raimi was able to do visually even when the script or performances or general tone wasn't there. The romance plot feels like an extremely rough draft of what the Coens were able to pull off with Raising Arizona just a year or two later.
