Survivalist Housekeeping

Interesting read for anyone who sometimes feel overwhelmed by the chores and never-ending maintenance and upkeep of modern life. Big emphasis on the "drowning" part, because most of the book is dedicated (and most useful) to people who are in fact drowning, i.e. health challenges.

The promise of a "revolutionary approach to cleaning and organizing" is overselling it, though. As the title says, this is a book for the struggling; not for those seeking mastery. The core thesis revolves around "messiness is not a moral failing" and "anything worth doing is worth doing half-assed"; it's a harm-reduction approach to doing as many care tasks as one's health can budget.

People who don't feel the drowning part are not the target audience but might still gain a lot from reading it. Learning to hold off judgment regarding other people's housekeeping for one would be great already.
