a review of 月光光心慌慌

As a newly-engaged fan of the original movie, (which I'll admit took me three whole watches over the past 15 years separate from my expectations of '70s/'80s slasher cinema) I really enjoyed this film as both a sequel and as a four-decades-later referendum on its genre. The first three quarters is a stylishly souped-up recreation of the first film's arc, but the final 20 minutes play out like a cinematic ritual exorcism, intended to banish all faceless psycho killers back to the pits from whence they came.
