Zombie tries to create a psychological portrait of Michael Myers with a splash of Jason Voorhees but fails miserably. Some full frontal nudity and sexual violence doesn't really help (but seems on brand, together with the white trash/Chainsaw Massacre aesthetics) but in the end there's still a fair amount of violent and gory scenes and - surprisingly enough - suspense to at least award this with two and a half stars.
