This spectacular control room was built in the 1920s in Art Deco style. Natural light enters through an immense central skylight. Levers, switches, and dials line the walls, while crescent-shaped panels encircle the space. A concrete bunker with a steel door stands to one side, built to protect workers during WW2 air strikes.
