When you try out openstreetmaps or organicmaps, yes there's going to be some annoyances over functionality you were used to with google. But soon you'll zoom into a new city you are exploring and not have to immediately see where the home depot is and instead by able to get little basketball icons on every basketball court in the city and you'll understand that google never knew how to make that good of a product, they just learned how to be first across the finish line. #Luddite #Cyberpunk

Info: Spanish street artist Deih XLF has been painting on the street for more than twenty years, but he is also a comic artist and illustrator. His murals deal with science fiction and cyberpunk.

I genuinely believe that the next most important act of resistance people can do right now, beyond supporting the vulnerable and going to protests, is getting off big tech. We can do this. It doesn't have to be this way. Because most of their money is from advertising, we don't pay for these services. The cost of the service is the extraordinary political power these tech tools give o.oooo1% of the population. We are paying a terrible price for these services.

Chooms, today I want to proudly show you why the Fediverse is top-notch.

I always wanted to learn to draw, but I never quite managed to create something cool. In the Fediverse, I frequently saw people learning things that seemingly brought them joy, and that motivated me so much that I started learning to create artworks about a year ago. I began with drawing and then moved on to vectors (which suit me better), and thanks to your feedback, I kept improving (at least that's what I believe).

And now comes a twist: thanks to the community, this amazing artwork came to life. I've occasionally posted its development locally on this instance, and everyone who gave feedback has been immortalized in my artwork.

I present to you, Ivy. A street kid from Night City, she helps you with every gig and hangs out with you at the place where the former legends of the CORTEX IMPLANT and HACKERS TOWN gang used to meet!

I spent two weeks working on this artwork, and every minute was a joy! So much fun that you can even get prints to hang in your space - if you’d like.
