As many of you may know from my soap opera saga of a life here, my partner and I recently had to flee what had been a place of refuge for us for seven months, which was then transformed in less than eight weeks into a #toxic mess that will need a disaster cleanup crew both metaphorically and literally.
Our now former neighbor Crystal, a #SingleMother with a teenage daughter on limited income, needs to do the same but unfortunately it's not as simple because she was forced into debt and working at the hotel, causing her to lose public benefits, and is now somewhat trapped. I'm hoping I can rally the support of the #Fediverse for her in the same way you have for my partner and me.
She's a kind, hard-working woman who -- while having only been employed there for a few months -- has at least three glowing references to her specifically by name in the Google Maps reviews for the hotel.
Crystal and her daughter (and puppers) deserve better than this. Everyone does, but we need to start somewhere. I'm working on getting venmo/paypal/cashapp links for her as well.
My dear friends here on #Mastodon and the Fediverse, I'm hoping for some #Solidarity for a single mom and her family. I humbly ask that you boost the linked post below if you're willing, and of course please donate to her if you're able.

Pogona vitticeps, the central (or inland) bearded dragon, is a species of agamid lizard occurring in a wide range of arid to semiarid regions of Australia. This species is very popularly kept as a pet and exhibited in zoos.
Family: Agamidae
Genus: Pogona
This dragon is native to the semiarid woodland, arid woodland, and rocky desert regions of Central Australia. They are skilled climbers, and often spend just as much time perching on tree limbs, fence posts, and in bushes as they do on the ground. They spend the morning and early evening sunning themselves on exposed branches or rocks, and retreat to shady areas or underground burrows during the hottest parts of the afternoon.
Adults of this species can reach a total length of up to 60 cm (24 in), with the tail accounting for more than half.
