Having way too much fun re configuring my old #Vim setup and I haven't even got to the LSP and linting side of things yet. That'll get setup a little later probably using ALE and COC but I'm not 100% just yet ? I might even push my config to my git repo to share or allow others to show me the error of my ways.

I have some strange and annoying problem with my @frameworkcomputer #Framework 16 notebook: Since a few months, when the notebook is running non-stop for a few days, the touchpad and the keyboard stop responding. The keyboard is responding again after a few seconds but not the touchpad.
Only after the notebook has been shut down for a day or so, the touchpad starts responding again but not if it is powered down only for a few minutes.
Framework support has sent a replacement touchpad which shows the same behaviour and they otherwise are not helpful at all. They just keep asking the same questions, do not care to read my replies and tell me it is because I am running #FreeBSD and this is "not a supported Linux distro" (sigh...).
Does anybody have any idea what could be the problem?
I have been quite happy with the notebook but this kind of customer support experience is really frustrating...

Paste seems to be bugged in editors/vscode 1.96.4_2 and greater on FreeBSD.
If you have 1.96.4_1: consider locking it before your next upgrade of packages.

Noticed that @claudiom said #FreeBSD 14.2 P2 was available and I did the usual doas freebsd-update fetch install and then rebooted but it still says 14.2p1 in fastfetch or uname -a but if I do freebsd-version it shows 14.2-RELEASE-p2 ??? Any ideas ??

Shots 1 and 2: I forced a series of errors by running pkbasify (in Konsole, alongside various other applications) with insufficient free memory and insufficient swap space.
Shots 3 and 4: the second run completed without error.

I finally installed FreeBSD back on my main system. Running 14.2 with custom drm-kmod amdgpu drivers for my 6750 XT from https://github.com/wulf7/drm-kmod/tree/5.15-lts-focal , as the ones that ship do not work with my GPU. #freebsd #amdgpu #6750xt #drm-kmod #freebsd14

I stayed up until 4:00 am setting up my FreeBSD system. I had to rise at 6:30 am to get ready for work today. The issue I haven't figured out yet why dpms gives my X11 a heart attack. The work around I've had to come up with is to ctrl+alt+f1, ctrl+alt+f8 then kill my cwm session with custom hotkey and startx again. I'm hoping to have it solved by the end of the day. #FreeBSD #dpms #amdgpu #navi22

Well... I spoke too soon. picom is a no go for my particular gpu drivers on FreeBSD. It still kills my wake from sleep monitor. I setup x-screensaver and now I don't have problems. #picom #FreeBSD #xScreenSaver

Hmmm, on a #FreeBSD 14.2 host, running a 14.1 jail, is there any reason that 14.1 jail could not run a 14.2 jail?
I already run jails in jails...
FreeBSD jails: I am just now starting on them, do I use base jail tools, or are there ports that are great for managing jails? Reading documentation now, but wanted to get some good opinions. #FreeBSD #FreeBSDJails
