As you will know if you've been reading my posts for a while, I am often annoyed by Britain's rubbish management.... so here are some are 'hard truths' for managers (courtesy of Tréasa Fitzgibbon - LinkedIn)

15 Harsh Truths for Managers:
1. You might be the probelm. Poor performance often reflects leadership not laziness;
2. Control isn't leadership. Microanagement signals fear, not strength or clarity;
3. Feedback goes both ways. You can't expect it if you don't model it;
4. Good people leave. And often they're leaving you, not the job;
5. Trust isn't given, Its earned through consistency, clarity & integrity;
6. Silence isn't agreement. It might mean fear, disengagement to distrust;
7. Your tolerate the culture. The worst behaviour you ignore becomes your standard;
8. Busyness isn't a strategy. Being reactive doesn't mean you'r being effective;
9. Accountability does not equal blame. You're not a leader if you're just pointing fingers;
10. You don't know it all. Your title doesn't make you the smartest in the room;
11. Respect must be mutual. It doesn't flow one way because you're the boos.
12. You might be avoiding conflict. Tough conversations are part f your job. Do them.
13. Recognition matters . People won't stay if they feel invisible;
14. Listening isn't leading. But its where great leadership starts;
15. Growth starts with you. If you're not evolving, your team won't either.
