Blue morning

The one in the middle is in the shadow and from 19th century, with red brick forming four ornamental columns and very small squares in the windows. The last row of windows at the very top are semi circular with decorated beige stones on top of the columns. The building on the right is in shadow and from 21st century, with only glass windows. Finally, an updated #introduction: Hello! From #Shanghai to #Montreal, now in #NewYorkCity. Master #student in #ComputerScience at #NYU Tandon, still struggling to figure out what I gonna do next. Morning in the city

Apart from some little cropping, I didn't do anything to this photo. It doesn't look quite real, like a city from a comic book. That's how I feel when I go into a big city. I'm always looking for the organic, the living, the sun and the shadows, but the superposition of lines, the rectangles and the brightness of all the glass behind this old building is what I like here.

Photograph of a grey stone and green metal roof building from the 19th century, with white window frames and some sun and shadows on its façade, occupying the bottom half and right of the frame. Behind are three skyscrapers, much taller and superposed, with very straight lines and windows all reflecting the blue sky.

The old stone building is a three-story presbytery, imposing but still having that human scale feeling. Behind the skyscrapers are much more impersonal and cold. At least from my point of view.
