Rated Heartbreaker 7/10
Free's final album is a pretty decent 70's rock stomper, if a little unremarkable. It does kind of feel like a band who've run out of road.

Rated Mary C. Brown and the Hollywood Sign 5/10
My third Dory Previn album, they're really an artifact of when my wife made a vague stab at collecting some vinyl back when we got the record player. She'd heard a podcast about Mary C. Brown and fell into a weird loop where she ended up getting obsessed with Previn for about three months and now I have these three albums that I don't really listen to.

I don’t know if you’ve heard of this great new band called Pink Floyd? They’ve got this album, right, called The Dark Side of the Moon, right, and it’s really good. It’s all, like, epic, and stuff.
Rated Tres hombres 10/10
I have a theory that the first four ZZ Top albums should be talked about in the the same breath as the first four by Zep, Sabbath, etc, but because people only remember them being the naffest band on the planet in the 90s and the silly beards and whatnot, they get completely forgotten. Shame.

Rated Tonight’s the Night 10/10
Written in the aftermath of the deaths of some of Young’s close friends to drugs, this is absolutely gripping, an at times literal howl of grief. This has some of Young’s strongest songs delivered in a shambolic drunken stupor, and it’s not an easy listen, but I keep coming back to it, again and again. Young’s already ‘interesting’ vocal delivery style doesn't even find anything close to the melody at times, but it’s incredibly moving, engrossing and brilliant.
On this #BandcampFriday and #FairTradeMusicFriday please give some love to the new Undercat full-length, "Tinky Winky is Dead". It spent many years in the making and I'm very proud of what I managed to create. Thank you so much for your support.

I've always had a soft spot for the Boss's sophomore album, especially Rosalita (Come Out Tonight).
Also out there for #BandcampFriday and #FairTradeMusicFriday is a new Convair album, "Their Ghosts". A series of atmospheric vignettes and meditations on guitar nesting conversations with those who are not with us.

We're off to Discworld Con this weekend, so the theme for this week's edition of #ThePlaylist is:
The Discworld
Songs about wizards, and flying turtles, and DEATH, and THE DEATH OF RATS, will abound. Or just songs about discs, or worlds. Are there any flat Earth bangers?
