Participants are taken on a journey to explore and creatively express feelings of emotion and sensations in the body. In this animated mixed reality game, it makes no difference where you actually are, because your smartphone screen takes you into the Amsterdam district of Bijlmermeer—experienced through Anouschka, a Black teenager. Following a racist incident at school, she delves into her family history, which turns out to be closely bound up with this local area, one of the most diverse in the Netherlands. You help Anouschka by playing all sorts of mini-games along her way, ranging from collecting the ingredients for dishes cooked by her grandmother Afiba, to a memory challenge based on batik patterns. In between the games, animations and archive footage provide more context, with a sharp focus on the ways immigrants have been championing the preservation of their respective cultures for generations. In the multi-channel video William Quail's Pyramid, Constant Dullaart and Piotr Winiewicz reverse this process and regress language, looking for the glitch and error in language processing. In 1957, the Royal Leerdam Glass Works commissioned Haanstra to make an informative promotional film in black and white. This resulted in the accomplished 25 minute Speaking of Glass. On entering the factory, however, Haanstra noticed that a mechanical stacking machine was malfunctioned because of one broken bottle. Amused by its robot like but futile movements, Haanstra agreed to make the film, but only on condition that he could make a separate short on glass. The film gives an intriguing view of the process of glass blowing and the mechanical way in wich glass objects are made. Glass, his greatest success to date, even won an Oscar, the grand prix of Hollywood and Holland's first Academy Award.

In this short film Bert Haanstra gives his vision - from the water – of a tranquil Holland. During filming he held the camera upside down and afterwards put the images ‘up right’ again in the film. By doing this, we see the ‘usual’ waterfront, but transformed by the rippling of the water. In this way Mirror of Holland became a modern looking experimental film. However this did not devalue the Dutch sentiment regarding waterfronts that are so trusted to so many.

The film "Unjust" is a Virtual Reality short film created for the 48 Hour Film Project in Nijmegen 2017. The team of WeMakeVR was one of the first teams in the world to create a VR film for this competition in that short amount of time.

These are all desires based on the contradiction between the deceptive material world and a higher eternal reality in which we find our peace.
