看到克劳德雷恩斯总让我把这部不自觉和史密斯先生到华盛顿联系起来 主角都是接受良好\传统教育的青年 被迫面对惨淡的境遇 在自我怀疑之中 史密斯先生里史密斯先生坚持理想、恶人良心发现 美国梦得以“辩证发展” 而劳伦斯里则是个体英雄式宏大叙事的彻底碎裂（杀人与对自己“正义”的认同破碎->白人体征与阿拉伯身份认同破碎->退而求其次的程序正义\共和理想破碎） 用史诗风格去呈现这种反史诗题材本身算得上挺有趣的 但大卫里恩想说的太多 比如劳伦斯“只能活在沙漠里”这种陈述所暗示的又是故事的另一个维度 交代不清不楚又舍不得割掉就味同嚼蜡；调度水平太高 比黑泽明、约翰福特等人更胜一筹

新好莱坞各种手法玩了个遍效果反倒不及逍遥骑士 节奏上乱了些 不过文本实在复杂 非常自然融合了几乎所有时鲜的社会议题 性解放/电视入侵/恐同情结等等 最有意思的是对于美国梦不同阶段的呈现 这点在其他作品中很少看到 首先一个东征的牛仔象征着美国梦由一种西部拓荒的勤劳致富转向了大城市的机遇致富阶段 而东部移民的美国梦则由大城市的机遇致富转向了南方的殖民想象 富人的美国梦则是彻底的虚无走向了嬉皮享乐 很妙的一处设计是强沃特性向认同是通过将电话听筒敲进对方嘴中（性暗示）的动作杀害对方最终完成的 认同自己的同时杀死自己

张口闭口Signora的二代移民缘何为难一代移民..怀斯绝对炫技派 问题青年名片段所有剪辑点都在衔接完成以后 仿佛是说我可以拍成长镜头但没必要 Maria说出It's not us,It's everything around us那场戏 主光源由来自窗外变为来自室内（绝对私密的二人空间） 光透过彩绘玻璃打在墙上 近景男女各居一色 这对苦命鸳鸯在抱怨着世事不公 爱情无果 之后是一个越轴 他们在被床栏切割分离的画面中站起来 打破了画面的束缚拥抱在一起 这是他们最后一次相见 这样的设计在剧情之外给予了人物最大的怜悯与暖意 非常浪漫化的手法；对比之后的一场戏 同样的地点男女诀别时主光源又回到了窗外 男主跳出窗户 所有危险所有关切也随之移到窗外 可惜男主糟糕的台词功底还是让高潮戏打了些折扣..
