「永遠的一天」是希臘導演Theo Angelopoulos的作品，描述一位老者晚年生活，藉由一封信引發過去的記憶，在錯落的片段生活裡，交雜著記憶的回溯。這部意境深遠的影片，也同時為他贏得了1998年坎城影展金棕櫚最佳影片獎。
導演以其一貫的詩意風格和類魔幻寫實的手法，陳述老者行至生命終極的感觸，老者看似漫長的現實生活其實短暫，那些逝去的過往，反而在追憶的瞬間，被停滯的時空無限延伸，追憶似水年華瞬間亦是永恆……
希臘女作曲家Eleni Karaindrou與Angelopoulos的合作，自八O年代中期開始至今，累積長達十數年的默契；能將Angelopoulos影片中深沈的人文反思氣息，藉由音符完整呈現出來的，也非Karaindrou莫屬。在Angelopoulos的電影中，人物常是巨大歷史構圖中一抹微小的身影，是游移的大氣中一絲微弱的嘆息。許是合作已久，Karaindrou連音樂起伏的呼吸都與其影像近似，甚至有風格疊合之處。
這張專輯也不例外，它延續了影片一貫深沉的疏離，器樂選擇上以黑管和豎笛為主體，映襯淡雅的弦樂旋律。影像與音樂的對位時而喜悅時而低盪，形成矛盾的張力。銅管的沈重與弦樂的閒逸代表詩人的沈重遲暮與活力青春，在夢境中持續對話，老者忽忽悠悠的夢境，彷彿就從這些音符間隙中緩緩蔓延開來…… 除了類似迴旋曲形式反覆夢境之外迭宕的旋律，Karaindrou也適時選用了部分希臘傳統民謠，專輯裡並收錄片中老詩人的獨白，闡述對生命深沈的思索，在這樣的音樂背景中，獨具另一番動人魅力。

2011 five CD box set that gathers all six of the Claire Denis soundtracks written and performed by Tindersticks or their members; Stuart A. Staples (for L'Intrus) and Dickon Hinchliffe (for Vendredi Soir), alongside four others credited to the full band. Four of the six soundtracks are previously unreleased, including the score for her most recent and hugely acclaimed White Material (which has also received Criterion treatment); all of the film scores recorded since 2002 are issued in this set for the first time. Comes in a slipcase box made from deluxe uncoated black paperboard with a custom die-cut window and metallic cover-print. Discs are housed in printed sleeves, each of which features an iconic image from the corresponding film that can interact with the window-cut box. Also included is a 48 page perfect-bound booklet of color film stills and an essay (in English and in French translation) by renowned music writer Michael Hill.

One from the Heart was a soundtrack album of Tom Waits compositions for the Francis Ford Coppola film of the same name. It was recorded from October 1980 to September 1981, and released in 1982. It was during this period that Waits met his wife Kathleen Brennan, an employee at the studio where it was recorded.
Crystal Gayle features prominently on the record, performing either solo or in duets with Waits. The soundtrack was nominated for an Academy Award for Original Music Score.
The movie was re-released on DVD on January 27, 2004, and the DVD contains remixed and remastered Dolby Digital 5.1 Surround Sound of the soundtrack from Waits' original studio sessions, a documentary on the making of the soundtrack, as well as previously unreleased demo recordings and alternate takes.
