German journalist Philip Winter has a case of writer’s block when trying to write an article about the United States. He decides to return to Germany, and while trying to book a flight, encounters a German woman and her nine year old daughter Alice doing the same. The three become friends (almost out of necessity) and while the mother asks Winter to mind Alice temporarily, it quickly becomes apparent that Alice will be his responsibility for longer than he expected.

“穿帮”的环境交代构建起始终摇摆无法自洽的回忆迷宫 不够说实话 之前看过前三十分钟+各种名片段 第一次看全片全无新鲜感 反倒有种看《诗人之血》的疲惫感...（睡过前二十分钟正好和上次接起来..）（女主没有印象中漂亮了）

选取拉文纳这座中世纪文化名城做如此这般视觉呈现的确挺有意思 不过在我看来 全片只能说几场好戏的拼贴 相当呆板生硬 完全没有扎布里斯基角/蚀里浑然天成的感觉 尤其六七十年代意大利糟糕至极的配音工艺制造出的声响比机器的轰鸣更为刺耳 只能让我与人物越走越远

造型能力太强了 静态构图感染力爆表 调度也相当有节奏感（不过运镜有点不稳） 我刚想说这次居然没有出现火枪..火枪就适时出现了 毕竟桥本忍
主题上我倒并不觉有太大突破 很难讲是对武士道本身的反思（大菩萨岭也许解决的是这个问题） 更多还是后武士时代对于作为某种传统价值观的武士道精神的反思 是一种传统武士与火枪所代表的新的权力阶层的不相适应 用我的视角重述影片大概是这样：新型武器出现 武士失去其功能价值 在阶级未完全消亡的过渡阶段 武士精神仍被新兴权力阶层拿来当做某种安慰剂 充当门面的同时加速其消亡 因此影片表达的仍是“武士之死”的传统命题 随着武士阶层的消亡 贵贱之别也消匿于历史之中 要说影片传达切腹本身是“价值虚无”的 恐怕因时而异 并不成立 就像是11年前切腹的朋友与被津云击败即将被逼切腹的武士所象征的绝不相同

三船这造型真是一时没看出来..视听上很强的黑色电影风格（对比度甚至更夸张） 黑泽明改哈姆雷特比改麦克白、李尔王得心应手不少 扔掉了原作较为深刻也是情感上更普世的存在论追问（仅仅用身份互换所谓“名实不称”来填补）更多笔墨下在了日本这个更具体的社会情境 还试图与战争联系起来反思 非常大胆且精准的改编 *科波拉最喜欢的一部黑泽明
