Everything changes for the Ing family when the husband and father is diagnosed with terminal cancer. The mother, who is the main supporter has become more isolated, while the son is no longer certain about his future plans although he has been accepted to study abroad. 楊德昌導演離開我們十年了。
「1982年，小野邀請甫留學歸國的楊德昌參與中影的《光陰的故事》拍攝計畫起，「楊德昌」這個名字便正式走入臺灣電影圈。1983 年《海灘的一天》籌備期間，因楊德昌提出諸多反動體制的作法，中影幾乎下令停拍，最後談判前一天，他寫了一篇〈光陰的童話故 事〉給小野，那是一個老米舖老闆夾在有幹勁的小學徒和捧鐵飯碗的老員工之間的故事，用此比喻改革舊體制之必要。楊德昌就是這樣一個人，在廿多年的創作歲月裡，用最大的熱忱與獨立精神，戮力達到創作的完美，一輩子都沉浸在電影的世界裡。
「十年再見楊德昌」專題選映《光陰的故事》等多部經典作品，另邀請楊德昌的弟子們帶來早期創作，呈現他們因受楊德昌的啟發而走上電影之路。除了影片放映之外，吳乙峰導演專訪了柯一正、小野、余為彥、杜篤之、虞戡平、張震、陳湘琪、魏德聖、唐從聖、陳希聖、鴻鴻、姜秀瓊、王維明、陳駿霖等人，請他們談及和楊德昌當年的互動細節。以此紀念離開我們十年的楊德昌導演。
