British television sitcom

After taking the tech world by storm with their debut at TechCrunch Disrupt last season, Richard and his Pied Piper team look ahead to a big future--one that's immediately soured by legal woes and petty revenge plans from Hooli overlord Gavin Belson. This season, Monica finds herself torn between her allegiance to Richard and her job working under a new head honcho. Meanwhile, the presence of Richard's departed longtime pal Big Head looms large, as Gavin decides to use him to his fullest potential.

With Richard unexpectedly ousted as CEO, Season 3 picks up with him offered a diminished role of CTO and the rest of his team facing the question of just how far their loyalty extends. Now under a new CEO who is hell-bent on transforming everything from Pied Piper's offices to its business agenda, the guys must find a way to triumph in the war of Art vs. Commerce. Meanwhile, as Gavin Belson works to rehabilitate Hooli's image following his blunders, Big Head finds himself in a new partnership.

Change is in the air in Season 4 as the Pied Piper guys pursue their video-chat app, PiperChat, but Richard has a hard time letting go of his dream to put his algorithm to better use, leaving the team struggling with how they fit into the picture. Meanwhile, Monica deals with new competition in the office, and Gavin faces big changes at Hooli and beyond.

Pied Piper finally has enough funding for proper offices and new employees, and to bring its peer-to-peer internet to the world – but leveling up introduces a whole new class of obstacles. While Richard struggles to lead a larger team and play with the big dogs, the rest of the team adjusts to new staff, new digs and new anxieties. Meanwhile, Hooli rival Gavin Belson has returned to power, but finds the threat of Pied Piper, and its boldness, hard to shake.

After years of false starts, Pied Piper is now a legitimate presence in Silicon Valley, thanks to their commitment to not mine user data. But as they learn in this sixth and final season of the hit series, staying true to your morals comes at a price in this cutthroat business. Can Richard learn to balance his integrity with the insane amounts of money dangled in front of him?

The experiment on self-improvement in the afterlife begins. Shawn repeatedly tries to sabotage the experiment, first by sending a demon to impersonate one of the test subjects, and then by having a Bad Janet impersonate Janet. Once these deceptions have been uncovered, the four human test subjects are Chidi himself, Simone, gossip columnist John, and entitled chauvinist Brent. Eleanor and the rest of the team encourage the four to become friends, study ethics together, and improve as people. By the conclusion of the year-long experiment, all but Brent have shown moral improvement, and even Brent shows potential for change at the last minute. The Judge decides that the afterlife system is indeed flawed—but to mend it, all of humanity must be erased from existence.
