某天的一个机缘巧合下，接到一个著名旅游杂志的冒险旅游竞赛邀请，获胜者将赢得在该旅游杂志的工作机会，成为一名杂志旅游摄影师。在经过数轮淘汰赛后，潘小帅成为入围决赛的四名选手之一，并将通过抽签接手特定挑战。小帅的最后一项挑战称之为《安大略合约》，规则极为严苛。他必须凭杂志提供的机票前往加拿大安大略省，并在多个风景迤逦的景点诸如多伦多、尼亚加拉大瀑布、渥太华、千岛群岛等完成指定任务。同时，他需要每天向杂志提交报告和发送旅程照片。此外，小帅必须在规定预算和10天内完成任务。到底潘小帅能否顺利完成任务目标呢？
在10天内，由于文化差异，潘小帅不仅经历了各种滑稽场面，同时在安大略省瑰丽的景色和多元文化中感受到触碰心灵的震荡，并在沿途中得到众多当地人的热情友好帮助。最终潘小帅成功完成安大略合约任务，并在这个过程中发现了全新的自我。
