ロンドンを拠点に活動する、神戸出身の3人組ロックバンドThe fin.が、両A面シングルとなる12インチアナログ盤 (+MP3ダウンロードコード)をリリース。収録楽曲は、Spotify、Apple Music、Line Musicなどの音楽ストリーミングサービスで限定公開している新曲「Pale Blue」、「Afterglow」で、UK、フランス、オランダのSpotify人気PLAYLIST「New Music Friday」に選曲されるなど世界的に話題となっている。楽曲はLondon Dean Street Studio にてプロデューサーにJamiroquai、Passenger、Alt-Jのプロデュースや、Radiohead のミキサーで知られるBradley Spence を迎えて制作され、冬リリース予定のフルアルバムからの1stシングルとなる。またB面にはAll We Are、Ten Fe、FEWS、Anchorsongのロンドンで話題の気鋭4アーティストによる個性豊かなRemixを収録。

Following his spring release of “The Way Things Change,” George Van den Broek, better known by his stage name Yellow Days, returns with a new jam titled “How Can I Love You?.” Broek isn’t solo this time around, however, as he welcomes fellow musicians to help deliver a sound that is still undeniably his own.

There are few voices more deeply embedded in the iconography and mythology of American indie rock than that of Chan Marshall. Under the musical nom de plume of Cat Power, Marshall has released music for nearly 25 years now and her prowess as a songwriter, a producer, and most notably—as a voice—has only grown more influential with time. Wanderer, Cat Power’s stunning 10th studio album, marks a pivotal moment in both Chan Marshall’s life and her career. In the six years since the release of 2012’s Sun, Marshall has travelled the world, given birth to a child, and parted ways with her previous record label. Even though it was, in many ways, a period of profound upheaval and radical change, those experiences resulted in a record that is arguably the most assured artistic statement of her career. Produced by Marshall and mixed by Rob Schnapf (Elliott Smith, Beck), the album includes appearances by longtime friends and compatriots, as well as guest vocals courtesy of friend and recent tourmate Lana Del Rey. Wanderer is, in many ways, a quintessential Cat Power record, with Marshall’s clarion voice front and center in a set of songs that remarkably stark and straightforward. But, if old Cat Power records might easily have been viewed as repositories for pain, Wanderer is, at its heart, a testament to the transformative nature of songs, an album-length imagining of alternate paths, redemptions, connections, and open-ended possibility.

历时一年潜心创作，窦靖童推出全新概念专辑《Kids Only》。专辑共10首歌，她一手包办作词作曲，更担任专辑制作人，带来一张原汁原味，非常“窦靖童”的音乐大碟。 去年窦靖童发布首张原创专辑《Stone Café》在乐坛引起极大反响，其特立独行的音乐态度和令人耳目一新的音乐风格，带给乐迷极大惊喜。被一众资深乐评人看好为华语流行乐坛未来之星的她，终于在今年夏天交出第二份令人欣喜的答卷。 《Kids Only》是一张更加丰富多元的音乐作品。正式踏入乐坛之后，窦靖童在音乐上的探索更加深入，先后赴日本、英国、美国演出，和世界顶级音乐人合作，在音乐创作上迅速成长。在这张专辑中，窦靖童有更多音乐风格的尝试，更有对中国音乐的独立思考：“我常常在想一个问题，到底是什么才算是中国音乐？对我而言，可能不是语言、乐器、或者某一种节奏、旋律，而是一种气场。我是中国人，那么我做出来的音乐，自然就有中国味道吧。” 谈及这张专辑的创作过程，童童表示这张专辑更能反映自己现时的状态：“第一张专辑发行的时候，离创作那些歌已经有一段时间了，多少会有些距离感。而这一次我觉得自己和《Kids Only》是平行的，它就是当下的我。”新专辑里的歌曲大部分采取同期录制，每首歌都邀请不同的音乐人参与，大家甚至可以在录制中自由发挥，这种融合与碰撞产生了奇妙的化学反应，然后把每一个当下记录串联起来，成就了鲜活可爱的《Kids Only》。 细心聆听《Kids Only》，你会从中感受到窦靖童徜徉在音乐世界的自由灵魂。歌里有顽皮的孩子气，有少年时代的烦恼与忧愁，有她的放肆狡黠也有温柔乖张。她坦言这张专辑的风格是不固定的，更没有什么目的性，连专辑封面都是随手拿来表弟的照片改图完成的，俏皮又随性。她的音乐注定无法用文字定义，因为她是独一无二的窦靖童。

The EP, All Delighted People, is built around two different versions of Sufjan’s long-form epic ballad "All Delighted People," a dramatic homage to the Apocalypse, existential ennui, and Paul Simon’s "Sounds of Silence." Sounds delightful, yes! The song was originally workshopped (oh we hate making workshop a verb, but time is money!) on Sufjan’s previous tour in the fall of 2009. Other songs on the EP include the 17-minute guitar jam-for-single-mothers "Djohariah," and the gothic piano ballad "The Owl and the Tanager," a live-show mainstay (and Debbie Downer if you ask us; what’s it doing on a "Delighted" EP?). Carrie & Lowell sounds like memory: it spans decades yet does not trade on pastiche or nostalgia. Stevens's gauzy double-tracked vocals wash across the dashboard of long-finned, drop-top Americana, yet as we race towards the coast we are reminded that sunshine leads to shadow, for this is a landscape of terminal roads, unsteady bridges, traumatic video stores, and unhappy beds that provide the scenery for tales of jackknifed cars, funerals, and forgiveness for the dead. Each track in this collection of eleven songs begins with a fragile melody that gathers steam until it becomes nothing less than a modern hymn. Sufjan recounts the indignities of our world, of technological distraction and sad sex, of an age without neither myths nor miracle and this time around, his voice carries the burden of wisdom. Carrie & Lowell accomplishes the rare thing that any art should achieve, particularly in these noisy and fragmented days: By seeking to understand, Sufjan makes us feel less alone.
