Hisako loses her home in Tokyo to Allied bombing. With her husband fighting somewhere in Asia, she and her two children evacuate to a suburb of Kobe, where they share a house with Hisako's cousin, Kyoko. Kobe is bombed and Kyoko is killed. “在托尔金的原著的基础上，我们想挖掘一下阿拉贡的族人以及他父母的故事，我们想给人们展示更多有关阿拉贡背后的故事。”
