finished reading Empire of the Scalpel: The History of Surgery ๐๐๐๐๐ Clearly passionate author but I think itโs just inherently difficult to make a sweeping history book like this interesting. Glad I read though!
finished watching The Love Hypothesis ๐๐๐๐๐ Wow they rly went full autistic with himโฆ I truly didnโt think theyโd go that hard on it
finished watching This Is Spinal Tap ๐๐๐๐๐ Should rewatch when I can pay more attention but the brief moments I was locked in? Fantastic. Sex farm ๐ญ๐ญ
stopped reading A People's Art History of the United States: 250 Years of Activist Art and Artists Working in Social Justice Movements This is more like history and art of progressive political movements not art history of the US which Iโm sure is interesting but not what I wanted to read rn. Art is political obviously but I wanted to learn the politics of prominent art not art made for politics. Was disappointed at the amount of photography instead of painting, sculpture, etc. Maybe I will circle back eventually.
finished reading Abstract Expressionism ๐๐๐๐๐ Great primer on a confusing topic! Loved the high quality pictures and made a rly nice afternoon of going to the art museum to see some bigger namesโs work after I read this!
