The film charts the iconic British band’s sprawling journey over the last few years – from an unexpected break in Hong Kong which sowed the seeds for their first album as a four piece in 16 years, to a glorious home coming show in London and, finally, an emotional reunion with their Hong Kong audience. New World Towers cuts between scenes from the band’s impassioned performance at this summer’s Hyde Park show in front of 60,000 fans and the stirring concert in Hong Kong, but also offers a raw, candid glimpse into the interior life of the band as well, with personal documentary footage and band interviews showing just how an opportune recording session unexpectedly gave birth to a new album, while also raising questions about the future of Blur. New World Towers reveals fascinating insights into the group dynamic and especially the relationship between singer Damon Albarn and guitarist Graham Coxon. Ultimately, their enduring friendship prevailed - allowing Coxon to bring [The Magic Whip] to completion nearly 18 months later.

節目簡介： 2009年第一輯《窮富翁 大作戰》透過真人騷形式探討香港貧富懸殊問題。2011年，貧富懸殊更趨嚴重，因此第二輯《窮富翁 大作戰》擴大探討範圍：低工資長工時、住屋、跨代貧窮、青年人流動機會、老人及社區規劃等等都作深入探究。時至今天，貧富差距更見厲害，政府日前公布首條 官方貧窮線，根據2012年底數字估算，以住戶家庭入息中位數五成為界，訂出全港貧窮人口達131萬人，扣除政府福利津貼後仍有102萬人，當中逾半即 53.8萬人處於在職貧窮家庭。而香港社會服務聯會最新報告亦指出，物價飆升，通脹達4%，即使是罐頭食品價格升幅亦近兩成，籠屋、板間房、劏房、天台 屋、甚至工廈，都成為基層人士藏身之所。其中劏房問題近期更加引起極大關注，估計逾17萬人居於6萬多間劏房。面對種種無奈的境況，社會大眾又是否只是一 眾旁觀者？ 第三輯《窮富翁 大作戰》將會突破首兩輯着重體驗貧窮的範疇，要求參與者多走一步提出改善方案，因此節目主角不單家境富裕，亦須具備相關主題的專業知識或背景。新一輯節目 分「食物」、「房屋」、「壟斷」、「教育」四個主題，參與者除了走進基層家庭體驗貧窮滋味外，更須在有限的時間及資源下，構思一個改善現狀的方案或行動， 至於規模是微小抑或偉大並非重點，重要的是背後訊息：即使是微小的「改變」，亦可帶來無限的「希望」；每個人或多或少都可以為有需要人士締造「改變」 （Make a change）。 製作仍以真人騷形式拍攝，透過二十四小時緊隨拍攝參與者過貧窮生活的體驗，亦會緊隨實踐構思的過程。

Episode 3: Tainted Love The musical and sexual preferences of the flamboyant 1980s, when New Romantic bands, including the Human League, Spandau Ballet, Culture Club and Duran Duran, conquered the charts. Awareness of Aids began to grow, and by the end of the decade the nation's concept of masculinity had been eroded, with girls gaining the upper hand. Episode 4: Wannabe: The 90s The changing attitudes of the 1990s, when Manchester became the centre of the pop music universe and young people began shedding their inhibitions. The Rough Trade story begins more than thirty years ago on 20th February 1976. Britain was in the grip of an IRA bombing campaign; a future prime minister was beginning to make her mark on middle England, where punk was yet to run amok; and a young Cambridge graduate called Geoff Travis opened a new shop at 202 Kensington Park Road, just off Ladbroke Grove in West London. The Rough Trade shop sold obscure and challenging records by bands like American art-rockers Pere Ubu, offering an alternative to the middle-of-the-road rock music that dominated the music business. In January 1977, when a record by Manchester punk band Buzzcocks appeared in the shop, Rough Trade found itself in the right place at the right time to make an impact far beyond that of a neighbourhood music store. When Spiral Scratch was released in 1977, the idea of putting out a single without the support of an established record company was incredible. But Rough Trade was to become the headquarters of a revolt against this corporate monopoly - it was stocking records by bands inspired by the idea that they could do it themselves. But selling a few independent records over the counter was not going to change the world. Early independent labels had to hand over their distribution to the likes of EMI or CBS. But one man at Rough Trade challenged that monopoly. Richard Scott joined Rough Trade in 1977 and became the architect of a grand scheme that was nothing short of revolutionary: independent nationwide distribution.
