Yo-Yo Ma is an American cellist. Born in Paris to Chinese parents and educated in New York City, Ma was a child prodigy, performing from the age of four and a half. He graduated from the Juilliard School and Harvard University, and has performed as a soloist with orchestras around the world.

Upcdownc are now ready to unlease their new Album Black Sea on Field Records conjuring up imagery of ship wrecks and sea storms, tranqu il soundscapes to titan-sized juggernaut riffs. This is the follow up to the highly successful fourth album ‘Calaveras’ releases in 2011 by Field Records.
Upcdownc are a four-piece band from Kent formed in 2000. They’ve gigged extensively throughout Kent, London and the UK playing support roles to the likes of 65Daysofstatic, Oneida, Kinski, The Drones, Bossk to name a few and as sound carriers for Damo Suzuki as well as headlining and setting up there own shows/tours.
In 2004 following a number of self-released singles and albums, they were signed to indie label Tap ‘n’ Tin Records and their first double ‘A’ side 7″ single was released in February 2005. They performed a live Xfm session with John Kennedy in May of 2005 and during the same year their second 10″ single was released. Their debut album ‘And the Battle is Won’ was released at the end of 2005 and received high acclaim from the music press. In March 2006 they visited Maida Vale studios to record a live Radio One session with Huw Stephens and embarked upon their first UK tour.
Their second album ‘Embers’ was released in 2008 and distributed in both the UK and Japan. The band left the Tap ‘n’ Tin in 2008, releasing ‘Firewolf’ on their own in 2009. ‘Firewolf’ was mastered at Abbey Road Studios being distributed once again in both UK and Japan. During 2010 the band embarked upon their second UK tour with the year ending on a high with the band taking their first steps into the European arena.

Texas has always had a profound effect on its musicians. Whether made evident through identity, personality, tradition or sound, it is apparent in all cases that bands from Texas are shaped from and heavily influenced by the Lone Star State – Bright Like The Sun is no exception.
Bright Like The Sun is a Post-Rock band from San Antonio. They were born in early 2012 from the collective desire to make beautiful, thought provoking, and at times, chaotic music. Much like fellow Texan bands like Explosions in the Sky and This Will Destroy You, they are entirely instrumental, and known for creating progressively intricate waves of ambiance that grow with intensity and an unabashed wash of emotion. Attuned to their affinity for dynamics, seeing them live takes the listener from deafening walls of orchestrated sound, to melodies so subtle that one finds themselves acutely aware of their own breathing.
Bright Like The Sun’s debut album, Coda Fin, was engineered/mixed by Alex Bhore (of This Will Destroy You), and mastered by TW Walsh (of Pedro The Lion). The record, which was self released, will be available on April 12, 2013.

Seas of Years was formed around midsummer 2012 and set out early on with the intention to write instrumental post rock. The first bandname was Ocean Rift, but it was eventually changed into Seas of Years.
None of the members had any previous experience of playing this genre, all originally hailing from the metal scene and bands like AtomA, Enshine, Slumber, Obrero, Unchaste, Burning Darkness, Mortifera and Insision.
The first rehersals and writing sessions were although successful both with band chemistry and the songwriting process. At the end of the year the band had about eight songideas (of which 4 were chosen) ready and decided to enter a studio session to record their first EP "Ocean Rift". The first band name survived to become the title of the first EP.
"Ocean rift" is a four track EP that will see the light of day in April 2013.
The recording and mixing of "Ocean Rift" was handled by Jari Lindholm and took place between
January and March 2013 in ESTA studios, Stockholm.

No Clear Mind already have a loyal audience thanks to their first album, "Dream Is Destiny", which was self-released in 2009 and freely distributed over the internet and now lists thousands of downloads. Their new album is titled "Mets" and is released in April 2013 via Inner Ear.
"Mets" is a cinematic narrative of ten instrumental tracks based on melody and unstrained rhythmicity. Having strong autobiographical elements, the tracks function as a music depiction of past memories and emotional states, small stories tied inextricably with the track titles.
It all started in the homonymous neighborhood of Athens, initially as a personal project of Vasilis Dokakis on ambient instrumental themes with intense cinematic elements. At the same time along with Lefteris Volanis (through their side project Mother Tree) they began to indulge in psychedelic folk and the rhythmic perception of the 70s. A building in the heart of Mets, that houses for years now the artistic activities of various Athenian creative teams, was to become the "home" and a source of inspiration for No Clear Mind. The small apartment was turned into a studio. Vasilis Dokakis took over the composition and production and through his daily interaction with Lefteris Volanis and the three new members of the band began a project of intensive recordings, testing, changes and arrangements that lasted over 2 years and resulted in the recording of countless versions, from which stood out the 10 tracks of "Mets".
A DIY production approach was consciously followed in order to capture the ideas musical range of "Mets" without any time limits. The emphasis in the orchestration part, the intense lyricism and the choice of a “wall of sound” aesthetics demanded the very well-thought-out arrangement of the numerous instruments used. It is worth noting that, along with the folk influences and the 70s melodic and rhythmic elements, the entire album gives off a rare Greek aroma as perceived by No Clear Mind.
“Mets” is released in double 10inch vinyl (including bonus cd) and digital album from Inner Ear.
