The Bilinda Butchers "HEAVEN" is a soundtrack set to the diary by Nakajima Ume, a young woman who lived in Japan from 1836 to 1864. The diary's entries catalog her catastrophic marriage to a cruel nobleman, and her later introduction to a young, idealistic poet whose expressions of sympathy inspire her to escape from her unfortunate circumstances. When her friendship with the poet is discovered, Ume is sent away to a distant village, where she falls into a deep depression and eventually learns of the poet’s death. Though the news of the poet’s death initially disturbs Ume, she soon discovers within herself a new sense of clarity and motivation. Her diary ends with a final pronouncement: she will drown herself in order to reunite with her fallen lover. The self-titled debut full studio release from American indie-pop outfit The Drums follows their critically acclaimed EP Summertime. Featured on the BBC's Sound Of 2010 list, the band was formed by childhood friends and former bandmates Jonathan Pierce and Jacob Graham. Their unique surf-pop sound is influenced by an unusual mixture of Factory Records-inspired indie with the pop sensibilities and sunny melodies ofthe Beach Boys. "Best Friend" is the first song Pierce and Graham wrote for The Drums and is the first single to be taken from the album.

进入2003年，着名的《滚石》杂志在10月底把the Strokes乐队作为了杂志的封面人物，一句标题“The new kings of rock cut loose”足以说明他们所取得的成就了。同时，the Strokes乐队也完成了他们倍受期待的第二张专辑《Room on Fire》的录制工作，2003年10月21日，第二张专辑《Room on Fire》正式发行。 　

alt-J today announced their second album, This Is All Yours to be released on September 22nd via Infectious plus an European extensive tour. Their previous album An Awesome Wave was met with great reviews and the band quickly became a festival favorite back in 2012. The band was also awarded the Mercury Music Prize. While little is known about the album, except the cover art and the track list, it's definitely a sophomore album to look forward to. While we wait for the first single to get released, below is a short interview from a few months back with the band talking about the recording process.

An Awesome Wave is the debut studio album by English indie rock band alt-J, released on 25 May 2012 by Infectious Records. The album includes the singles "Matilda"/"Fitzpleasure", "Breezeblocks" and "Tessellate". It peaked at number thirteen on the UK Albums Chart, and also charted in Belgium, France, Netherlands and Switzerland. An Awesome Wave won the 2012 British Barclaycard Mercury Prize, and in 2013 was named Album of the Year at the Ivor Novello Awards.
