Carl Craig genre: Electronic
release date 2017-05-05 publisher: InFine Music
Monumental symphonic versions of Carl Craigs classic material, re-enforced and magnified by Les Siecles Orchestra. Iconic French conductor François-Xavier Roth is at the helm of the symphony whilst InFiné mainstay Francesco Tristano supports on piano. From an initial recording in 2010, the project evolved into a full album that has been tweaked further in the studio by Craig himself. The re-works reveal the timelessness of `At Les´ and `Darkness´ through tense yet fragile new arrangements, along with two original compositions by Tristano Barcelona Trist and The Melody. Versus first took form as a captivating live concert on May 18th, 2008 at Paris Cité de la Musique, featuring this very same line-up. The hedonism of club culture made a rare incursion into the hallowed grounds of more serious traditional music, merging the vocabularies and syntaxes of two genres that seem to be from their own faraway galaxies, but actually turned out to be more porous than expected as they collided into one another. This much awaited new studio album will be available worldwide on May 5th 2017 as a 2LP gatefold vinyl and CD.

Trentemoller genre: Electronic
release date 2010-05-28 publisher: 101 DISTRIBUTION
2010 release from the Danish musician, producer, remixer, DJ and live performer. Anders Trentemoller has risen to the heights of international success usually only connected with artists in more mainstream Pop realms. His outstanding skills and talent for heart-wrenching melodic moments, fused with his trademark sound, have helped him gain fans across the globe, and blur the boundaries between cutting-edge, underground quality and mass appreciation. This album offers as much depth and soul as its predecessor, The Last Resort, yet sounds ultimately fresh and different. Above all, the 10 tracks have a glorious Indie Rock sound, with a lot of dynamics, distorted driving twang-guitars and haunting synths alongside four beautiful melodic vocal tracks.

GAS genre: Electronic
release date 2018-05-18 publisher: Kompakt
Wolfgang Voigt commits one of GAS's most darkly sublime albums with 'Rausch', which arrives nearly one year on from Narkopop to remind us his position as the prince of ambient techno. Meant to be listened to from end to end without interruption, but also included as seven discrete parts for those who need them, Rausch unfurls in diaphanous form along a depressed heartbeat march of padded kicks swept with distant horns and string swells in the faithful, time-honoured style of Wolfgang Voigt's finest recordings. The difference lies in the feeling conjured by these swollen crests of abstracted instrumental textures and timbre. Rather than dreaminess or tranquilised melancholy, this one feels portent, impendingly stygian, as though summing up humankind’s incessant trudge toward a bleak unknown horizon, resulting in the emergence of sounds more akin to a Sunn 0))), with his entrenched kicks struggling to break the gloom, and ultimately, poetically losing out in the end.
