《美国宪法的经济观》是一部探讨美利坚合众国宪法制定过程的重要著作，在美国学术界有较大影响，对我们研究美国历史和美国政体有重要参考价值。作者查尔斯·A.比尔德是美国的著名历史学家。1949年3月，我们第一次出版了《美国宪法的经济观》的中译本；这次再版以前，我们又根据原著对译文作了修订，并按现在对译名的要求统一了全书译名，体例也作了一些变更。承蒙东北师范大学丁则民教授为这次再版写了序言，谨此致谢。
