a review of 美少女特攻队

FLOPUARY #24: OK, so I'm barely 3 minutes into this thing and Zack Snyder literally shows me an opening credits montage about child sexual abuse set to a slow tempo cover (or remix?) of "Sweet Dreams", with the main character getting her shirt ripped open by her dad. The camera cuts to a close up view of the top button popping loose, hitting the ground, and rolling around in slow-mo, with the dad pushing his way into her room in the background. Just as this happened the lyrics "some of them want to be abused" floated past my ears and all I could think was HOW FUCKING GROSS. Amazing that WB gave Snyder creative control over Superman as his reward for this bullshit.
