a review of 侏罗纪世界4

The movie was fine? Nothing exceptional, nothing terrible, not really in the same ballpark as the first one, but then again none of the sequels are? Tied with Jurassic Park 3 as the second best JP sequel that I've bothered to see (skipped the last two after JW) but the bar on that is not high. Maybe a little too eager to reheat tropes from the classic Spielberg/Amblin canon, especially after Godzilla Minus One already swiped from Jaws with far more aplomb in just the last couple of years. Would have been about 33% more interesting if it had centered on the dysfunctional sailboat family getting marooned in a JP movie instead of on the science-mercenary team merely going through the motions of one. Fun in the way that Ray Harryhausen monster movies were fun, if not quite as eye-poppingly artistic.
