a review of 篮子里的恶魔

I remember hearing the concept behind this series as a kid and being super creeped out by the body horror aspects, but in practice it's just a goofy, fun movie with gobs of unconvincingly applied karo syrup blood and a semi-uncanny rubber puppet. I'd dabbled in Frank Hennenlotter's style of gore-comedy before with 1990's Frankenhooker (another movie that *sounds* far more grisly/lurid/exploitative than it actually is) and after this I think I might make time for the rest of the series in future marathons.
