机器人这个角色似乎很难简单地对应进现实情感关系里的任何一方，最大原因或许是哪怕机器人在关系里表现得再怎么完美，陪伴感拉满，他也依旧是个刚被组装出来，没有前史与经历的机器人，只为服务小狗而诞生，存在却没有本质。基于这点来看，在第一段感情中，机器人完全处于被动的状态，虽然他本人陪伴体贴着小狗甚至主动牵住小狗的手，但一切依旧显得像建立在一个程序里的「设定」上，先天就如此赋予。在后来发生一系列事件，锯腿、被鸟儿筑巢，以及被拆解又重新组装后，机器人好像才逐渐找到自己的主体性，能去做一个属于自己的选择，但当他与小狗共舞时，那种关系似有若无的虚幻性却还是在我心头萦绕。机器人之梦，究竟是指机器人关于小狗的那些梦，还是说机器人的存在本身就只是一场梦呢？我心里遗留的淡淡忧愁也仿佛刚从一场不曾存在过的美梦里醒来。
