Inoffensive, but far from essential

November 2024's Songs of a Lost World was a surprisingly good release from my favorite band of all time, The Cure. This remix album isn't BAD, but I found that none of the mixes improved on any of the original songs. Sometimes they're a bit dancey, sometimes the singing is sped up a bit. Sometimes it's a mostly different song that just retains the vocals. The remixes included with 1990's Mixed Up album or the stripped-down renditions on the Acoustic Hits disc released alongside 2001's Greatest Hits were more appealing. This was an interesting listen, but not an album I see myself returning to very often.
