Weird relic of the 80s

There are many Charles Bronson movies in which he plays a tough cop that doesn't play by the rules, and this is certainly one of them. Bronson, who is quite visibly "too old for this shit," takes on an underage prostitution ring. He also vocally hates Japanese people (the movie came out prior to the bursting of the bubble economy, when Japanese businesses were flush with cash and making ostentatious investments in America), which causes friction when he's tasked with rescuing a Japanese teen--daughter of the hard-drinking Japanese businessman who groped Bronson's blonde daughter on the bus--from the clutches of the prostitution ring. This is a pretty ugly, racist movie. All the criminals have dark skin and all the Japanese characters are "I read one book about Japanese culture once" levels of stereotypical. I wouldn't praise the Death Wish movies on their cultural outlook or anything, but those are at least a bit more fun than this flick.
