Even more impressive than Junk Head

Junk World - Review

Junk Head was an amazing stop-motion animated film almost entirely created by one man. This follow-up film, a prequel, Junk World expands on its predecessor with a greater emphasis on plot. While the first movie was largely wordless and had only two voice actors, the sequel has extensive dialogue and a full cast. There are some CGI effects this time, but I felt they detracted a bit from the much more impressive stop-motion work. The story itself initially centers on a human woman and her robotic protector on the run from a cannibalistic cult of mutants, but time loops and alternate dimensions introduce several clever twists and complications. This film isn't just an impressive technical achievement, it's a lot of fun as well.
