Interesting and surreal
I Saw the TV Glow - Review
A lonely teenager meets a similarly isolated girl who introduces him to a strange late-night TV show. Circumstances grow increasingly more surreal in a way that seems to relate to the TV program. While I enjoyed the film and its chilly, quiet cinematography, learning that the movie is an allegory for the trans experience sucked a lot of the mystery out of it. It's still a worthwhile watch, but knowing the background sort of dampens the mystique.
