1995年9月，一张由慈善团体war child策动、为波斯尼亚战火中儿童筹款的合辑help面世，唱片中集合了noel gallagher、the stone roses、the boo radleys、radiohead、orbital、portishead、massive attack、suede、the charlatans/the chemical brothers、manic street preachers、terry hall/salad、paul weller等等名号响亮的大牌. 十年后，war child的help合辑再作延续. 9月8日一些当红的英伦本土乐队分別进入录音室为war child的新一张筹款合辑help:a day in the life进行录音，于9月26日由independiente厂牌正式发行.
