This was by no means a good movie, but in my book it did have a few unexpectedly decent moments that reminded me that the 1970s was not as bad a decade as some decades I can think of now but would rather not name. The monster was entertainingly goofy-looking, the two sciency types acted their little hearts out under the impression that they were in some kind of production that might somehow matter, and the musical cues were diligent in telegraphing what the producer wanted you to experience about fifteen seconds later. The best performance was by the character of Adriana, the Bog Witch, who was quite possibly channelling some very powerful voices from the other realm which we would have no hope of understanding. Her offscreen departure from this film was less than deserved.
