This book includes many annotations to the original version of Shang Shu and followed notes as well as explanations of classics and it also covers the reconfirmed materials of word explanations and geography. It can be regarded as a summative work of Shang Shu with variable quotations. The punctuated and revised edition is based on the version of Ye Cheng Shan during the emperor Jia Qing years (also called the version of Ping Jin) and takes many other versions as references. The contents quoted by Sun are corrected according to the original one and the punctuations he used are followed. In addition, there is a catalogue available at the front of the book.
