讲述了一个普通人通过所谓努力奋斗和机缘巧合实现阶级跨越的资本主义故事，只是给这个故事换了个科幻背景罢了，基因实质上就是生产资料。这种故事我们在各类营销号看得还少？一个阶级起来斗争，一切才皆有可能。不可否认的是导演的叙事水平很高，在Vincent追求宇航员梦想的主线下安排了许多暗线和伏笔，因此尽管剧情有缺点，但看得很过瘾，而且里面的演员个个都是实力派。
