全片十分压抑，很少用配乐表现情感，全是用镜头冰冷地去表现。“嘉年华”片名我没明白什么意义，可能是用繁华热闹反衬冷清残酷吧。里面不仅展现了关于“性”的问题，某种程度上也是对当下社会和制度变化的直接讽刺（尽管导演没这么想）。结尾的结案过于突兀，虽然妥协了，但导演对结局态度相当隐晦，是好是坏似乎都说得通。
