Madha Gaja Raja (2025)

Medha Gaja Raja (2025) is a refreshing throwback to classic Tamil comedy, packed with laugh-out-loud moments and a lively, fun-filled narrative. After thirteen years, the film delivers exactly what it promises—pure entertainment with a generous dose of nostalgia. Santhanam is undoubtedly the biggest highlight, bringing back his signature comedic timing and effortless humor that made him a household name. His presence alone makes the film an engaging watch, and fans of his vintage comedy will not be disappointed. Another unexpected standout is Manobala, who quite literally steals the show as a corpse. His scenes spark some of the film’s funniest moments, proving that even a motionless character can leave a lasting impression when placed in the right comedic setup. The film thrives on slapstick humor, clever one-liners, and absurd scenarios that keep the laughter rolling. That said, Medha Gaja Raja does carry some outdated and regressive undertones, particularly in its portrayal of gender roles. While this may not sit well with all audiences, the film’s primary focus remains on delivering a comedy-driven experience, which it does with great success. If you’re looking for an old-school laughter riot that doesn’t take itself too seriously, this one is worth a watch.
