I went into this film completely blind just to find out how Ajith got his iconic Thala title. Two big surprises: Directed by A R Murugadoss  Co Starring Suresh Gopi Dheena definitely cemented early stardom in Ajith’s career and I can understand why. As a film it’s a typical 2000 template gangster drama with family conflict. Nothing new, the songs took me out of the film, but I get it. It was the norm back then.
