Everything Everywhere All at Once (2022)Rarely does a movie hit me hard, and I go for the ride. Every moment has a spectacle to it. Even the simplicity of having your taxes done. Often silly, most confusing, but entirely entertaining. There's really something for just about everyone in this movie. It's part Kung-fu action, part absurdist comedy, part cerebral sci-fi, and part indie family drama. I think this is an instant classic that uses the art of cinema and movie-making to its fullest potential. Everything Everywhere All at Once is a complex film that encompasses a variety of subjects, but it does justice to each of them with a carefully written script, marvelous performances, and a healthy dose of bizarre humor to counter its bleak story. Michelle Yeoh, in particular, gives a powerhouse performance in a story that puts a fresh, welcome spin on the idea of the multiverse.
