A unique horror story that composes in the retro mood and delivers top-notch gore and horror in a salacious art-porn fused romp. Besides the film being set in the late 70s, the production style reflects 80s porn films and is a clear nod to horror movies of the time. It, however, works great for the film. It amplifies the creepiness and weirdness of the situation, gradually building up the fear and tension until the climax. At first glance, the characters seem to fulfill the stereotypical needs of a horror film, but the writing and performances make it a level above, giving them life enough to put tension under the skin.
